About this deal

The battery is charged on board via the supplied USB-C type cable and your choice of mains or outdoor charger, whilst a 4 LED battery meter between the individual beam switches indicates charging status and remaining charge. The new SPORT fit system (similar to the BOA fit system) allows for easy, one-handed adjustments while hiking. The lowest flood setting is great for reading in a tent without bugging your partner who is trying to get sleep.

I have a very dependable surefire flashlight, but for some reason it would always end up in my mouth when doing things. Unleashing a formidable maximum output of 1200 lumens from the SST40 white LED, this headlamp is a masterpiece of illumination, ideal for a variety of outdoor adventures. If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.

Red Floodlight non dimming brightness levels of 5 lm (120 hrs), 25 lm (28 hrs), 85 lm (10 hrs) and 150 lm (4.I find that this headlamp does get rather hot when using the white light mode on high for more than a few minutes. The included 18650 rechargeable 3400 mAh lithium-ion battery is charged inside the headlamp via the USB Type-C charging port which is located on the back of the headlamp. The headband itself is a wider design, dispersing the weight over a larger area for a comfortable experience. The charging feature suits us well as the torch is always kept in a handy place and always charged up and ready to use. Each torch includes the Fenix ARB-L18-3500 battery, USB Type-C charging cable, headband, headband mount, and a spare o-ring.

I thru-hiked the Bruce Trail in Ontario, Canada with my dad in the fall of 2020 after my PCT dreams had been crushed by the pandemic. It features a focus free perfectly balanced main beam with 5 brightness settings that reaches out up to168 meters whilst also generating a wide area flood light to safely light your surroundings. The charging socket is neatly sited with a waterproof cover so the submersion performance seems realistic. Robust, and no obvious vulnerabilities in practical (including forest, underground and marine) environments. A Fenix ARB-L18-3400 mAh 18650 rechargeable battery is supplied and delivers maximum run times whatever the lighting modes in use. This headlamp is light weight yet built for the harshest environments and totally prepared for your extreme sports!

If going on a longer trip, you can haul along a second 18650 battery, which is available from Fenix. On a single charge, it can easily last several nights on the trail, making it suitable for covering long distances with few resupply points. If you want a rugged, durable, metal headlamp that can kick out bright light for long periods of time, and maintain its battery life when not in use for weeks, this is absolutely the headlamp for you. On its own you may not notice it, but paired together (I ran with one, my brother ran with the other) you can really tell the difference and I much prefer the light hue of the HM65R-T. Operation is easy — just remember to hold the button down for about half a second to turn it off and on.When off, press and hold either switch or both switch simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter lockout mode. Unfortunately, the PWM on this light is so bad that it doesn’t even work with my normal scale, which is 50 microseconds (50us). The included USB Type-C charging cable seamlessly plugs into the unit, enabling quick and convenient recharging. Uses white and neutral white LED's, delivering a max output of 1400 lumens, a max beam distance of 163 meters, and a max runtime of 300 hours.
