About this deal

I loved 'Ajay and the Mumbai Sun' and was delighted when the follow up, 'Ajay and the Jaipur Moon' was published. It's laugh out loud funny and yet touching in just the right way, a roller coaster that leaves you feeling satisfied.

You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! We loved ‘Ajay and the Mumbai Sun’ in our household and we enjoyed ‘Ajay and the Jaipur Moon’ just as much. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. I'm sure she will be reading it over and over again, maybe she'll let me read it with her next time! As with the first book, I really love the way the story introduces children to difficult concepts such as exploitation, corruption and environmental damage without ever making them feel too heavy or scary. Then again, isn’t this industry what unites them and gives them purpose in each of their individual ways? Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. So when Ajay sees a cash prize for a competition to be the first to find a meteor that has crashed to Earth in India, their very own space-race to Jaipur is on .

The spectacular sequel to Ajay and the Mumbai Sun, shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize! They need a big story – and when a meteor crashes to Earth, and there’s a competition to find it, Ajay and his friends find themselves in a space race to Jaipur! Exciting action sequences and peril - it was so cinematic I could really picture it being played out on the big screen.

The spectacular sequel to Ajay and the Mumbai Sun , shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize! But against some of the most powerful forces in the city, can Ajay and his friends really succeed in bringing the truth to light? Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.
