About this deal

If everything is done right — temperatures are right, grind is spot on, tamp is good, volume of grinds used is good — you should get a shot of espresso come out of the machine in 25 to 40 seconds, depending on the volume you want. We bring together over 350 brands and 8,000 references: a wide range of manual espresso coffee maker, espresso glasses, slow coffee makers, manual coffee grinders, the best teapots or insulated mugs. This portafilter requires a high-quality, espresso capable burr grinder, but means that home baristas can control the variables of each shot, and ensure their espresso if to their exacting standards.

But just getting it ready to make a single shot in the morning is fairly easy and and not time consuming. Where the Flair is a bit of a challenge to set up, especially if you’re used to a semi automatic, pump driven espresso machine, is the grind. And I’d be willing to bet that, with more experience and “getting to be one with the machine”, long time users can coax even more out of the Flair.Comparing the classic Flair with the solid steel tamper, to the standard Rok which comes with a plastic tamper, I have to give this one to Flair.

There’s been a few portable “espresso” makers introduced since, some hits, some complete wiffle balls.

The big, beefy outer collar got a redesign and a thick rubber-like outer sleeve was added to make for safer handling when prepping the brewing group for your shot pull. Available in 5 models: NEO, Classic , PRO 2, and 58 these beautifully designed espresso machines will surely be the signature of your kitchen, office or coffee station.
