About this deal

What makes Maps so special, aside from its fantastic and unique illustrations and fun and quirky facts, is the sheer atmosphere it creates and the feeling of discovery you get from turning its pages.

We take pride in offering a wide selection of used books, from classics to hidden gems, ensuring there is something for every literary palate. While we have a lot of books in our house, we realised recently that we didn't have a lot of reference books. The illustrations are fantastic and there is so much to see on each page, I especially like that every item is properly named whether it be a fish, fruit, tree or flower. If you love BIG books and clear informative maps, then this is the book for you , and for your grandchildren!

With so much to see this book would make a lovely Christmas gift and will certainly keep everyone entertained after Christmas lunch! This book is so informative, and generates so many conversations for learning about the world - Geography, Cultures, Language, Food, Animals, History, etc. The tagline on this gorgeous book promises you can 'Travel the globe without leaving your living room' and, for the armchair traveller this surely is the most fun way of doing so. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. The oversized coffee table book has double page spreads of each map, beginning with a world map then split into continents, with maps from a selection of countries from that continent behind the continent map.

All used books might have various degrees of writing, highliting and wear and tear and possibly be an ex-library with the usual stickers and stamps. Aleksandra Mizielinska and Daniel Mizielinski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2007. As children, we both loved stumbling across a book too heavy to even lift, let alone open and read; a book full of facts and numbers; a book whose story you discovered through its ideas rather than its prose. The amount of interesting information any child or adult can pick up from thumbing through this book is amazing in my opinon. Much more than an ordinary atlas, this book of maps is a visual feast for readers of all ages, with lavishly drawn illustrations from the incomparable Mizielinskis.

It’s incredibly detailed but also kid friendly, but every adult we show is intrigued by this map as well! The 52 illustrated maps in this book invite the reader on a journey of exploration around the world. May also contain light spine creasing or a few markings such as an owner's name, short gifter's inscription or light stamp. With each page turned, you'll be learning fascinating facts associated with each region of the world. Discover the joy of reading with us, your trusted source for affordable books that do not compromise on quality. You can learn so much from this amazing book, about the famous places, geography, cultural ways, animals, food. I've spent a lot of looking at the pages with my nephew aged 7 and he has been fascinated with the book. Ideal for children from three onwards it isn't just a map book it is an introduction to the world and the illustrations could start many stories.

This book would have been very welcome at my school last term when Iceland was included in the Year 1 topic of Around the World! Released to mark the 10th anniversary of the very first edition, this book features 16 brand new maps and has new material on every page. Not every country in, fro example Africa or South America, is included, but, those that are, give a flavour of the variety to be found there. The country pages are very detailed and all include the flag, capital city, the languages spoken, population, and area as well as a host of other illustrations about the country including the wildlife, food, buildings, famous people and many more.We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.
